南韓的中東呼吸症候群冠狀病毒感染症(MERS-CoV)疫情仍未退,保健福祉部中央MERS管理對策本部22日宣布,截至當天上午9時,新增2件死亡病例及3名確診病患,其中1人在MERS最長潛伏期(14天)過10天後才確診感染,因而引發關注。

3名新增的確診病患分別是77歲男性、60歲女性及61歲女性,其中60歲女病患於5月27至29日間在首爾三星醫院急診室被感染,卻遲至現在才確診,而原先據知MERS的最長潛伏期為14天,但她則超過3星期才確診。

不過保健福祉部說,這名60歲女病患早在6月9日便出現輕微症狀,時間仍在14天的最長潛伏期之內,因此不會延長對疑似感染者的隔離天數。官員稱,這名病患太晚接受檢測診斷了,應該更早做才是。

新增的2名死亡病患則分別為84歲及87歲,各是在首爾三星醫院及大田大青醫院染上MERS,並在6月9日及12日確診。保健福祉部表示,2名死者生前都罹患癌症。

中央MERS管理對策本部指出,確診病患總人數172人,死亡病例總數27人,致死率提升到15.7%。痊癒出院者新增7人,總計達50人,仍有95名確診病患接受治療,其中14人病況危急。

由於20至22日期間共增加6名感染者,因此南韓MERS疫情結束時間將延至7月下旬或8月。疫情結束的標準是以不再出現新病患後,經過最長潛伏期的兩倍時間(28天),均無人感染,則可宣布疫情結束。

另據南韓《朝鮮日報》報導,先前確診感染MERS的39歲孕婦,感染初期出現輕微肌肉酸痛及略為發燒,現在病情好轉且前述症狀逐漸消失,母體及胎兒均健康,短期可望痊癒出院,相信屆時可以正常分娩。

越南也傳出發現首例MERS的不實消息,謠言稱河內市一棟有較多南韓人及外國人居住的高級公寓「京南地標大廈」,出現第一位MERS患者且遭隔離,但越南衛生部證實為錯誤資訊,強調至今境內沒有任何MERS病例。
